Description
Another picture kinda like this one , except these three actually have something to do with each other. Asami's not here, because obviously, there wasn't room. >_< Had to really kinda squish Ed's hair as it is. I gotta learn to budget my paper better. (......Plus, Asami's not a smexy boy, so....)The trouble I have with this team is I can't for the life of me figure out who the leader is!! I mean, Tye's name is Tye, but Ed's got the hair for it, and not in YJ but in Virgil's own show he wears goggles on his head! They all have a claim to the position!!
Another trouble is that hardly any of their colors match any pencil I have. So much mixing I had to do...
But still, they average out as the hottest team in the show, so I'll not complain. (Though if you count Arsenal as being on their team that average drops like a brick...)

Is there any other way to gauge who the leader of the team is? I mean, when I was a kid I carried goggles around in case a leader was needed for anything!

Oh my gosh, I love this!! Your style is adorable and there's just so much cute details. I like how flowy Tye's hair is, you managed some beautiful highlights; and Ed has such an attitude in his expression, I can't even. Yeah, I tend to draw the Runaways sans Asami, too, for the exact same reasonβthe boys are just too smexy and deserve all the fangirl attention. (LOL)
Haha~! I always figured Virgil to be the leader because he came from a stable home life and was the only one of them to be excited to have meta-powers. Plus, I mean come on, it's Static Shock for crying out loud. XD
... D'oh, I like Arsenal. But I guess in that case it's a good thing he didn't join their team.

Hee hee, I thought you might. Thank you very much! The details and expressions are my favorite thing to do!
XD Them boys, I swear.
Perhaps, but could it not be argued that as one who did not run away from home he is therefore UNQUALIFIED to lead a team so named?? Well I suppose it was his idea to run away from Star, but still...
By the by, have you ever wondered, as I have, about the fact that YJ Virgil, on more than one occasion, refers to his parents? As in, in the plural? I find it most intriguing how different his backstory appears to be here!
Arsenal... Well like they always say; if you can't say anything nice...
Thanks so much for the comment and fav! Β

Indeed, you know me well!Β Β
And you are absolutely welcome, my friend. I really should thank you for making another fabulous Runaways art. Such a rare gem!
Yeah, I just assumed he was the ringleader of running away from S.T.A.R. so that officially gave him the Runaway badge. XD I even made it a point to mention that fact, as well as his growing desire to want to be a part of a superhero team, in my fanfic. Oh yes, I did. When Virgil says that "his folks" and he were good, it made me curious. I actually wondered if maybe there might have been some Static-centric episodes in season three; Greg Weisman did mention he and Brandon Vietti had scripts and plots finished for well into five seasons, I believe. Maybe we would have seen Virgil go through some throwback type hard times, bring more of his real history to play? Oh, what could have been...
Well, I've always been a fan of Roy Harper, especially when he was... not at his highest points as a hero. I felt he had his personal reasons for being a dick sometimes, and YJ really captured that sort of dark anger he spiraled through a lot. But yeah, he does seem to be that character you either love, or you hate.
Aww, you're very welcome again! Β

I should really do more...
Indeed! Always the most interesting thing, I find, is the different directions they take with these characters' backstories and whatnot in the different adaptations!
Five seasons we could've had... Why, cartoon network, why?!?!
I vastly prefer the clone to the original in the case of YJ.
