I've finished a couple CAD pieces and will post those models up next week, as for now I'm working on a huge CAD project that will take at least till the end of the school year. I got stressed out after working on it for a week straight so I took a couple hours off to start thinking about layout concepts for a new version of my website, stuck it together in a wallpaper so it'd remind me to work on my website when I'm done my other projects.. hahah, feel free to leave comments/flames/critiques... inspired by thehorusproject.Title : Design Platform
Purpose : Future website layout ideas: (wallpaper)
Method : Digital (Discreet 3dsMax 4.0 and Adobe Photoshop 7.0)
Duration : ~4 hours (while doing homework and watching Macross, gotta love anime)

Ok well now that I think about it it's probably going to sound like a completely unrelavent question but...
Why Eighty5ive as the name? Is it your 85th pic? Is the number 85 somehow inbeded into the picture and I didn't notice?

Very good, but the fuzzy rays or whatever coming out of it seem misplaced with the sharpness of the rest of it. Along with the rest is very symmetrical while the ray looks drawn with MS Paint.
Just some constructive criticism.
(Can you post a version without that?)

THat is one of the most awesome pieces I have seen, great work +fav instantly.

I dig it a lot, the renders excellent, but the brush work seems a bit too chunky and doesn't appear to originate in the centre if you see what I mean. The rest of the 2D is excellent and I really like where you've positined the main object - whole thing has a nice balance to it.
