Description
- September 2023, Centennial Airport (KAPA) -The Ford Trimotor entered service in 1926, and the earliest Douglass DC-3s entered service a decade later in 1936. While the Trimotor is a remarkable piece of airline history, the following decade of innovations are... apparent.
The aircraft on the left is a 1929 model Trimotor. And the aircraft on the right technically isn't a DC-3, rather the C-47 military variant. (Same airframe.) This was a wartime production model from 1944. Named "That's All Brother," this airplane is quite a famous C-47.
Brought to you, respectivley, by the Experimental Aircraft Association and Commemorative Air Force.
