I got to fly a War Bird! It was a short flight, but I did some basic maneuvers, and the pilot did a roll. I have not been upside-down since 2019, so that was a fun treat.

This is a 1958 North American SNJ-5, a Naval trainer. The original variant of the SNJ first flew in 1935. To this day, pilots who fish to fly WWII pursuit aircraft, like the P-51, log flight time in an SNJ first! (The SNJ is the Navy version of the better-known T-6 Air Force trainer.)
