The Ford Trimotor was an early American airliner which entered service in 1926. I can't believe I got to fly one! This aircraft is one of two Trimotors operated by the Experimental Aircraft Association, vintage 1929, notable for being Eastern Airlines very first aircraft.

During the aircraft's tour stop at Centennial Airport, I got a short ride as a passenger. But I spent enough time bugging the pilot throughout the week that he let me join on their flight to the next tour stop. There were a few people taking turns at the controls, and I got to fly for some of the cruise and initial descent.

By this point in the adventure, I was back to the passenger seat, but I really enjoyed getting some photos of the shadow on the approach.
