It's not a phoenix, it's a loftwing. If it was phoenix it would be in flame colors or have flames burning behind it's wings. But on the shield it's actually a Crimson loftwing that Link used in Skyward sword. And by design wise, yes I know the Tetra force is a thing and I know why Nintendo left out of the other games, because in Japanese purple means death and Link is Purple and all that. Heck in Japan they change Rayman's shirt to blue so Japanese players didn't confuse him as a villain. Thank Lockstin & Gnoggin for his Cult of Mask Theory for teaching me why Nintendo would denied there being a fourth peace of the triforce.

And the OOT Shield has always been one of my favorite shields from Legend of Zelda.
