Well, for that you'd have to use a program called Resource Hacker to edit the logonui.exe. You just need to replace one of the bitmaps. Google for vishal gupta, he has some great tutorials for that

pure editing of the uifile (with ResourceHacker). And a bit of Gimp, I think.

Hi Zotus, Very nice login. I used Replacer and everything went fine, until when my PC rebooted command prompt shortly kind-of flashed on a black screen and then the old windows login appeared. Any idea's are much appreciated, thanks.

This normally happens if your screen resolution does not match with the login. The login only works on widescreens with up to 1920x1200 pixels.

Okay, I had some minutes left and did it right now. I uploaded the standard screen version to rapidshare. Until Saturday you can download it from there: [link]
Should work now!

You're very welcome! I'm glad I was able to help.
If you want, I can make you one that will work for screens with up to 1600 x 1200 pixels (= normal screens ). Would be no problem, but might take a day or two.

Hm, then something went wrong with the replacement, your system doesn't seem to apply the logon correctly. A reason for that might be that the screen proportions don't fit (this logon works only on widescreens)? I recommend installing the logon via TuneUp Styler, that's definitely the easiest way - another possibility is Replacer [link] This tiny program replaces system files and automatically backups the originals. Hope I was able to help you!

You can either use TuneUp Utilities for the tls file, with that program you can change your entire system's look. Or you use Replacer [link] which will backup and replace your original logonui.exe file. Works only on WinXP.
Hope I was able to help you!

Don't worry, I've got those same bugs. Although TuneUp doesn't show the preview correctly the Logon should work without problems.

For that, you would have to change the uifile (You can see that in Resource Hacker). And for changing the uifile, you'll need this: [link] Hope I could help you!

You mean the user account picture? With Resource Hacker for WinXP [link] , you can. Just change bmp_113 and bmp_116 (or was it bmp_119?). Just replace it with a bitmap of exact the same size.
