This was painted with semi-realism and it’s got a conceptual base that is interesting. Those two are my favorite traits in art. So I give top marks for Vision. I know that this subject matter has been done before, but often without as much thought as believe this one has. Because it is semi-realistic, I think the Technique is excellent.
I also think it has a remarkable Impact because of the form and shapes are well laid on on a central axis for this 2 dimensional piece of art. I like the feathers and the flames, theyre done with a looseness that I think is appropriate fo this surreal subject. I can’t decide whether I prefer the words “Made in Hell” on the piece of art, or whether they would be better in the title.

I have given this some serious thought, and I believe the subjects outlined in this critique might assist the artist in his future self-expression.
