Not exactly the best image but you work with what you have. I may change the image in the later future to a better quality one.
The moment I saw this it brought a smile to my face. A fate/stay related papercraft by SSN? Gotta build that even though it'll interrupt my homework.Β
I did not make the template for this.
Since this is a prototype there are no concrete instructions on how to build this.

They are used as support/hold in place for the side bangs. Not completely nessesary but keeps them in place.Β

I have to say, that is a really weird method for the bangs. He can just use 2 flaps for them as usual.

I agree, if it wasn't for the fact that SSN did something similar for another papercraft before I wouldn't of known what they where for. Well recently a lot of his papercrafts are sort of "prototypes" so maybe he was trying something out.

Saw some nice tamamo papercraft templates and remembered your comment from 3 years ago and I think these are what your looking for.
