It might do. In season one Izzy used the digivices like radios to speak to Mimi when she was lost in a maze and in season two we see Mimi take out her digivice at an airport and change the clock on it from America time to Japan time. And in episode 47 of season 3 (Tamers) they showed a slot on the top of the digivice that functions as a port to plug a computer connection cable into to help with programming "Grani". So for them to work as an MP3 is quiet possible.
