i found my mother's in the attic a few months ago and have been tooling around with it - writing is so different, so much more physical than with a computer. interesting contrasts...

it certainly is more physical. and so little means to do corrections and when you want to re-arrange what you have written you have to type it all again

it used to be a cliche but i don't see it that much now from a real typewriter rather than a digital imitation.

sure. real typewriter keys get clogged with ink - and digital fonts imitate that... but typewriter keys can be hit heavily or weakly, varying the impression... and bounce up from the shift key... oh there are ways.
