Well, not a brand new theme, but I also like it, nevertheless, as it is a bit fresh and wild.

Although the big pink flowers are cosmos, not poppies, this has such a Wizard of Oz feel to me. Rather incredible.

It was such a wonderful find. I am still wondering whether someone has put these flowers there on purpose. Though it was right next to grain field it must be. Even in France there are no wild flowers growing like this

This type of cosmos (called "pinkie"), are, in the USA, a meadow/prairie flower, which makes them "wildflowers." In good years, they are prolific re-seeders, spreading over miles. I had not had cosmos in the neighborhood for years, yet this summer I had quite a wonderful surprise crop of volunteer plants...from who knows where.

awwh - obviously they are called "SchmuckkΓΆrbchen" in german. wikipedia says their home is arizona, but that they widely used as ornamental plants and invading the world by getting wild again. beautiful invaders i should say
