Love the title! And of course the yellow chair that suggests it. Awesome shot of vertical, narrow alignments and the juxtapositioning of textures and colors.Β Voila, a poem! (Well, in my headΒ ) Wonderful.

done waiting
done hoping
for what will never come
my shadow warned me, long ago
and yet she sits beside me, still
in silent atrophy

You are so so welcome Ulrich..
It actually isn't 'that' sad but the words
simply flowed. And I thank you for always
being so inspiring and for allowing
my poetic spillings.
Cheers!

I have arrived my dear friend, and it's been one extremely busy and stressful
transition, but I'm getting there
Thank you so so much for your friendship, Ulrich. I'll soon be able to come
here a bit more often.

Great composition - wonderful diagonal from upper left corner to lower right, formed by the grey door, the red window and the two bottoms of the pipes. Nice how the yellow flowers match the chair... the shadow of the chair is beautiful, and the chair itself makes a statement. Really nice shot.

Compositionwise, yes, I agree. But I was always intrigued by one or two stories which may be told on this one ...

Sure... someone is going to put down his work and sit in that chair, bask in the sun and watch the world go by for a few minutes... nice thought.

...I always loved the "colored houses", too bad in my town I cannot paint my windows the way I want...

In this case be happy that you have windows to paint at all

What do you mean?... ...If I didn't have windows it would be I don't have any house or I live in a "bunker"!
...

EintoeRn In reply to altergromit [2011-12-18 12:24:29 +0000 UTC]
Or you have windows which are not your own ....

altergromit In reply to EintoeRn [2011-12-18 12:33:34 +0000 UTC]
Oh, now I understand what you mean, yes, I'm lucky enough having my own windows...
...But if you live in a "rent" one, you don't have to pay a lot of money for sometime "supposed fixing", heat and so... ...I'm typing with gloves on...

But I meant I have to pay a lot of money, and I cannot complain or asking any help to the "manager"...
...Anyway, it is ok, as long as I can pay for all the *mandatory things*...

...I remember in San Francisco; the radiator was "leaking" always... ...I payed my rent but I had the right for some heat for Winter, right?...
...But it is supposed you don't have to pay twice, so you can say to the manager... ...He always said "oh, sure!..."
