we HAVE pumpkins and i even prepared pumpkins pasta last fall ! mostly preoared as soup, though, here - often with ginger ...

the pie is not difficult, it's just a matter of pureeing the pumpkin flesh until it is not stringy, if you make it from scratch - here we always used canned pumpkin
