I love the overall golden tone to this image...but even as a monotone, I can still discern the beautiful lines of an eintoern landscape.

The golden tones of a freezing morning, early autumn in the north.
The light was just pure magic. And it lasted just for 15 minutes or so. Being there at the right time meant having breakfast in the hotel at 6:30 am and finding this place at the right moment. It is coincidence, but also a little bit of planning and anticipation.

The atmosphere in this is wonderful. This photo has that "I'm there" feeling - its not just a flat image on a one dimensional plain. The detail in the foreground is crisp and clear - but the background has a charming, almost surreal feel. I think the morning just has something to do with it. Great title too!
