for me it seems synchronized, like a dance!

indeed ... a dance created by random movements ...

This building just looks very noisy to me.

To the eye, optically, it's so busy.

When I see so symmetrical lines, everything seems organized. Maybe people bring the lovely chaos ...Β

Except the man seated, everyone seems in motion. I see it by their legs ... I like this movement.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

EintoeRn In reply to seek-and-hide [2015-02-13 18:33:40 +0000 UTC]

aimless movements, of course ..
when looking at this picture again after all these years, I regret most, that none of these figures is turning the face towards the photographer .
but these were times, when i did not notice these details ...

seek-and-hide In reply to EintoeRn [2015-02-13 20:16:49 +0000 UTC]

It's very interesting when we can see these details. Time doesn't back, but we got the experience. Anyway,Β this building is very beautiful and in a way, these people fill a void.

I recently bought a book on how to construct a miniature house (down to the finest details).Β
This one, with its crazy-quilt of lines would be a fun one to try.

This is superb. The people are so perfectly spaced it's as if they posed for you.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

EintoeRn In reply to RichardLeach [2011-10-11 16:31:30 +0000 UTC]

Superb
But the spacing is great, isn't it (Whisper: though at least one of them could have turned the other way). And I am always so glad when I find some people in my images which add to the story
(and I am seriously tempted to take the leg on the lower right out )

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

RichardLeach In reply to EintoeRn [2011-10-11 16:43:54 +0000 UTC]

I had the same thought about that leg at first - but then I decided it balanced the leg of the sitting man at the other side. Though we see all of him, the cropping of the woman on the right adds to the kinetic quality of the whole image. Gives it a bit of whimsy too.

great shot of a beautiful building...Is that the original framing, or is it just made to look like the old style timber framing?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

EintoeRn In reply to offbeat-art-dog [2011-10-09 13:20:25 +0000 UTC]

It is an open air museum on the industry of the 19th century which originated in the valleys around here (because of water power available).
This, of course, was home was home of one of the bosses. The building is original, but I think to remember hat it was "moved" to the museum ...
