Beautiful shot, it's always lovely when autumn leaves arch over the road like that. Nice fence posts up ahead too.

Thank you. And I believe that it is mostly the esthetics of the 70ies road movies which attracts me to these sort of shots ....

Those were peak years for hitting the road, in movies and in life.
In the early seventies before I had a car I would make 200 km trips hitchhiking! Well not often... but what a different time.
How is your week going?

Indeed. I have travelled Norway hitchhiking with a friend when I was 17. What an adventure this was - first time away from home without a group. Just a backpack, a tent, and almost no money. We had a lot of invitations, though.
The best part of the week is that there is still more sunny autumn weather ahead. So today I have spontaneously decided to have the Friday off and make the Cuxhaven tour on the weekend.
A large drilling campaign due to start next week and there shall be so many more reports to write for a big international client we all know.
Very reasonable off-season rates for the hotels already even at the sea as well.
I reckon that the snow has also gone again in your part of the world ?

Ah, wonderful plan for the weekend
Yes, the snow is gone and the temperature has zoomed up - it's sunny and about 18 or 19 degrees outside! We haven't taken the advantage of it I would like, B. was handed some of that work that looks so simple to the people who assign it but requires long hours to do properly - and she won't do it any other way. But she is taking Friday off, we should be able to get outside, do some walking by the river and relax a bit.

That makes two of us who take the Friday off - and another wonderful plan
We also had up to 18° in the last couple of days, going to be cooler (especially up north at the sea) on the weekend with an easterly wind they say. But still sunny.
Please give B. my kindest regards

This autumn has been very nice in terms of weather, indeed. But most leaves are gone my know.
And when walking here, beware of reckless bikers. They tend to by everywhere on the weekends
But I am sure that would enjoy a little trip in the area
