Description
This was an absolutely lovely birthday gift that gave to me featuring my Bianca Amaretto and his Labana Helconia. As you can see, they are stuck in a bit of a bind together! Not an enviable position to be in, especially considering their mutual dislike for one another. Given that they are both depicted as ship captains during the Age of Sail, I would hazard a guess that they both found themselves captured by some dastardly pirates. Perhaps it was a rescue of Cvet Helconia (Also Jack's character) that they botched due to their constant rivalries and bickering? After all, she is Labana's own daughter and, at least in her own head, the "adopted" daughter of Amaretto.
But what could have befallen the poor girl? Once again, I would hazard a guess that she was bratting about at the high seas only to find herself catching the eye of some villanous pirate captain. Knowing Cvet's luck, the scoundrel no doubt plans to wed her, whether she wants to or not! After all, there is always plenty of rope to go around!

Sometimes I feel that's an area in particular in which I lack...but then I do occasionally 'borrow' characters from others, and I feel like that makes up the difference

It'll probably be a little while before I actually have enough to make a story out of, but this is usually how I start. Slipshod, disorganised, all over the place...
I'll definitely note you when I think I have the combination of time, a slot in the chaotic schedule of other stories I probably should write first, and...an actual plan, though. I think I've got something fun, I've been a bit of a fan of Lady Amaretto for a while anyway ^^ But I feel like I need to do some proper research, if I'm gonna do an actual story with her.

Don't be too flattered, if I pair her off with the characters I'm tentatively considering, she's not going to have all the fun in the world XD
But no worries, really ^^ I found, eventually, I love playing about with other deviants OCs now, it's an excuse to play about with something a bit different, outside my usual writing fare. Let's me mix and match things, styles, tones, sometimes throwing a few of my own characters into the blend...fun times!
I'll do a little digging of my own first, see what sticks. Once I've got more of a coherent scheme in mind, I have no doubt I'll have a few questions

I found it, after several flailing misfires!
Sometimes I think I should go in for more incredibly detailed character bios, but I guess I just kinda go with more basic visual references, a few cues and pointers about their personalities maybe, and then just hurl myself into things and desperately hope the stories do the talking
Yours seems like the perfect length though, lots of helpful little deets in there. Your work is set in a kind of antique/spacefuture blend? That's pretty cool. I still think I'm going to throw my semi-medieval-ish witches into the mix. Dwelling on the why or how is just...a superficial concern at best!

Well, I try to make my characters independent of settings. So Amaretto can work anywhere, really, so long as she can be wealthy and pompous
