I don't think the colour ruins it, I think it looks beautiful. I love that you used mainly warm colours. Also loving the tail curling around the alter

Thank you!! Yeah, watercolor can be pretty fun, I love seeing what kind of patterns I get out of it.

Hey Erin, I seem to have misplaced my silver sharpie. I have no clue where it could be... if you have any ideas please message me on dA, fb, email, or just walk 10 ft to your left and tell me.
Thanks
your loving brother,

who said it was your silver sharpie? If you want it back you'll have to make it past my badass sloth guard, who may or may not claw your face off. WHATEVER!!

Aw, you didn't ruin it. I think the colours are rather nice. I've always loved the effects of watercolour (and probably why I love traditional so much more in some ways)

The silver moon is very interesting and I really like the "cracks" you have running down it with the lines of silver. I also really enjoy his expression, and the details you took with his necklace, and details on the stone are a real nice touch.

The only thing, and I have this problem too, is once you lay down watercolour it's kind of hard to just use coloured pencil alone to change the colour of the subject. Sometimes a base wash ends up being a tad overpowering, and I guess it's why I've leaned towards combining acrylics & watercolour lately.

yeah, so I've discovered =/ Coloring over the watercolor turned out really nice on the miniatures I did, so I decided to try it on a larger piece, and yeah, I'm kind of disappointed. It seemed like a good idea at the time, and I was afraid if I tried to paint around a sketch it might look too messy. Aaaand it ended up looking messy anyway. Ah well, just another failed attempt I guess.

Thank you though!!

Bah, no worse a fail than my Greenman is

Won't know till you try though! Everything I make is a disaster or a salvaged disaster. I think it's always a case of just getting better at hiding/working around mistakes.
