Description A beautiful walk along the Philosopher's Path in Kyoto.
There were still lots of cherry blossoms to admire but it was evident that the full bloom had already arrived.
It takes just a little breeze to make the petals fall when the delicate flowers have reached that "mankai" state.
Even the fallen petals can create some amazing views, like Hanafubuki (a blizzard of falling petals when the wind blows) or in our case here, canals of pink petals.

"The Philosopher's Path (哲学の道, Tetsugaku no michi) is a pleasant stone path through the northern part of Kyoto's Higashiyama district. The path follows a canal which is lined by hundreds of cherry trees. Usually in early April these trees explode with color, making this one of the city's most popular hanami (cherry blossom viewing) spots."
