"What's got you so giggly now, Streams?" Gallus asked, walking through a grassland with his dainty dame by his side.
"Oh... Nothing,~" Silverstream said with a giggle.
There was no fooling Gallus, though. Ever since they started walking, he noticed that Silverstream was constantly looking at him for a short while before glancing away and giggling. She was also doing her best to stay close to him.
"C'mon, Silverstream!" the blue griffon requested. "You don't want another lecture from Applejack about being truthful, do ya?"
Silverstream saw the truth in Gallus's words. She readily recalled the last one they got, which was perfectly timed to ensure that the other students could get a good laugh at her boyfriend's expense.
"Oh, okay..." said a bashful Silverstream. "Gallus... You're why I'm so giggly today."
"What? Why? Is there a stray pine needle stuck in my wing again, or...?" Gallus seemed confused.
"No, no!" Silverstream was quick to correct Gallus. "It's... nothing like that. What I'm saying is, you're the reason I can't stop smiling! I guess... I'm just having so much fun being around you, I can't get enough. I mean, seriously! HOW did you get so handsome and charming, Gallus?"
With a confident smile, Gallus replied, "Well, probably for the same reason you're so irresistible. I guess it runs in the family...~"
Silverstream covered her face with her arms and squealed breathlessly. Gallus's compliment took her breath away, and he noticed her red-hot blush.
"Thank you," whispered Silverstream.
The two kept walking. It wouldn't be long before they'd come to a cliff, meaning they'd have to use their wings to continue.
But Gallus and Silverstream wouln't mind a romantic flight across the countryside...

My idea revolves around the fact that Silverstream has a hunky new hippogriff flame and Smolder convinces Gallus to impress her by competing in Equestria Kombat League (a cage fighting competition.) What could possibly go wrong?
