Description
Two resting figures stared silence upon the speaker’s tongue. Male and female they reclined against each other, and while the woman rested idly, sinewy muscles clenched underlying veins into sight in the man’s umber skin. The one who had spoken, another male, stood with his back towards them, restless and fidgeting, nervously eying the powdery sprinkle of stars in the cosmos around them.“What?” rumbled an overdue reply from the reclining male. His pensive, almond eyes narrowed curiously at his standing counterpart as though his words had been absurd. His irises were rubies in the scattered light.
The one who spoke first turned his bright blue gaze to the others.
“I want to make another world beyond this, another realm, life besides our own.”
Hello, cel shading... long time no see
So this is the opening sequence for my animated logo (and the italics is the opening of the origin story behind my novel series). The full thing follows the leaf until it illuminates the text, yadda yadda... I figured this would be the part anyone on dA would actually be interested in
This took approximately 20 hours.

Pretty good artwork there. The one crit I have of this, is that the movements need to arc more, it's a little too straight and robotic. Most actions will start off slow (ease in) build speed and then end slow (ease out). Don't forget some anticipation and settle, even if it's really minor. Alll these things will help out a lot.

wow, love the details you put into the motion. really gave him a very lifelike gesture. like he's really inhaling and exhaling O_O and i finally see the hair animation in action!
but wow, 20 hours.. that's alot of work... What took the most time?

haha, well it was pretty much split half and half between preparing the frames and perfecting the animation itself... but since most of the time spent in animation was nit-picking, I'd say the frame work

well, parts of it were made frame-by-frame in photoshop (which is unavoidable in things like this) but others were edited in after effects for motion :3
