Adoptables are characters that you can buy as your own, so you can use the characters in your stories, draw them, etc. However, the original artwork still belongs to the creator of the adoptable, so you have to credit the original artist.

In my opinion, "Sample" is not a very good art thief deterrent, (unless your name is Sample), because anyone could pass it off as theirs. I think it's better to use your username instead for added protection.
