Description
Athena is one of my favourite deities. She is tough and wise. She help many heroes through their trials. She is non-binary in many ways. I feel that she has another depth then many other deities.
I want to colour this some day.

The helmet is of corinthian type, the spear is based on what I found while googling ''acient greek spear'', the shield's owl is based on Athenian coins from the hellenistic era. Her clothes are based on different images and sculptures portraying Athena. It is a greek peplos and the 'scarf' is the Aegis. It is an objects used by Zeus and Athena, sometimes portrayed as a shield, more often like a cape/scarf. The head on it is a gorgon, a monster of the same kind as Medusa.

Her hair is based on hairstyles in the HBO TV-series Rome. Very academic of me.

I have never spent this much time on cleaning up a sketch. There are probably ways of getting the same effect for people more experienced with photoshop.
