Post-A-Thing-A-Day Month Day #14!

Ladies and gentlemen, may I proudly present the reason why I haven't been posting anything but lousy sketches for the past few days. This has been a WIP forever, but I finally got it finished to my satisfaction today. There are still some things I would ideally like to fix, but I'm really getting sick of staring at the thing.

I'm pretty sure my thought process on this picture was "Okay, Elaku, you're not very good at backgrounds, so let's go with something simple so you don't mess up. Something easy to draw, like, hmm... let's see... an entire forest! Bingo!"

Many painstaking hours, many minute details, and many photo references of woods later, this was the result.

Anyways, here's Katniss hunting in the woods outside District 12.
