Wow, this style is really strong. But is this the only piece you did with the washy/watercolor thing going on? I love it combined with your figure interpretation. Do more!!

Thanks for the comments.....it doesn't really have a meaning. I was just trying to draw peace of mind.

A Rhetorcial question derived from your piece of art work:

What would be better, all the narcotics in the world or a plethora of jelly fish dangling their tendrills onto your head?

wow... i've worked with very few watercolors... you know, none since i was a kid... could you talk a little more about the process you went through to create this peice.

i love the colors and textures produced ...

but also, why jellyfish behind some guy? i've often noticed that watercolor paintings tend to have more of a water theme than other paintings...

i really like it thanks for putting up all of your artwork.

Thank you! Eh well i got that washy colour effect by simply painting on an already wet page so the colours bleed together. I also like to sprinkle salt on the wet paint ( it soaks up the pigment and gives a nice effect). I cant do detail with watercolour at all so when i have finished painting I draw over it with pencil or felt tip pen to get detail.
In this picture the face and the colours I chose were intentional but when I had finished the mess in the backround looked a bit like Jellyfish so i put on a bit more detail to high-light this......and yep I've noticed that water is a common water colour theme too.
Thanks again.

The full-view of this image makes this is even more amazing. I really like the style and how you use/created elements within the painting. The colors are nice too.

It's probably annoying getting comments that just say something like "awesome" or "great job!" but that's all I can really say. Awesome job.
