Description
Three-dimensional minimalist paper art of Rainbow Dash and her flying pet turtle, Tank. This is one in a six part series of the Mane 6 with their pets. I tried to capture the dynamic between these two. Rainbow Dash flies with ease while glancing over her shoulder to make sure that Tank is still following, while Tank follows adoringly after Rainbow Dash as she soars through the sky.

Rainbow Dash and Tank are cut from colorful card stock hand-selected to bring them to life. Each individual piece is then carefully layered, folded, and glued to add depth. Dash's wings are gently curved outward to add motion to this scene. Her mane and tail are bent to capture its natural spiky wave. Tank's helicopter blades are tilted at an angle to accentuate that his body is being propelled forward.
