Description
This is for my li'l sister . You can see where the inspiration for this picture had came from if you're able to take a peek at her current front page dev ID, hehe.I think that I may have learned a thing or two about coloring with the computer, having finished this. Uhm, but, I kind of forgot how I made the lineless part of the picture, her in the far back semi-realistic, now. Maybe I'll remember how I did it once I do something else in that way of coloring, but I do know that I was inspired by King of Fighters 2003's coloring style used for the character select screen's character portraits, whenever I saw that, I just had to try it out for myself.
My sisty's a green belt in Tae Kwon Do, one day she'll be a mastah black belt, but for each step that she takes on that path, I'm proud of her for having stuck with it. Not that she's ever complained about it tho, she loves what she does!

I love the different styles you drew your sister in. I wish her good luck in her quest for the black belt.

Hmm, what helps me is to study them a lot, the proportions and way each body part moves and bends when the rest of the body moves. It takes a long time to start seeing things they way they're supposed to be seen and measured, tho. For me it did, anyway. But after lots of practice, drawing people gets easier and funner. ^_^
Could look in magazines with lots of pictures of people in them, for references. That's a good way to start. I like lookign at video game and anime charas for help but real people are very helpful to study, too.
Oh yah, when you reply to someone's message here on DA, clicking the reply button on their post will make sure that your message gets to them and they will see it in their DA messages centre. I tell ya that cuz I used to not hit the reply button too, to talk back to someone who's commented on my art. I would just put a message in the box at the bottom of the page and click on send and that doesn't always work too well if you want someone to see your message.
Uh... I prolly just confused you there. I suck at essplaining things!

I know this is extremely late, but I love anyway, so what the hell XD. I love the contrast between all the different styles. The chibi, your "standard" style, and the more realistic one. Love the coloring as well, so smooth, and blending really well with each style. Those folds, just can't stop staring at them.
One of the things that struck me was the fighting pose. So dynamic, and full energy, you can feel the guy's gonna have to pay the dentist a visit .
Wonderful, dude. Improvement to a new level. Keep up the excellent work, mate.

Indeed it is my dear klassmate. If not for the joyous arousal that is received when Pick&chu goes flying out of the arena with a satisfying zap of lightning - then for the painful subdue on Mario's face as he falls, desperately to his nobbly knees in defeat. ... i have to get another avatar, this Daigo one is making me "use your tongue purtier, than a $20 whore" ~ Blazing Saddles.

I love seeing so many varieties in style of the same character in the same picture....I don't know why.....maybe because of all the sides we see to a character.....sometimes the style reveals another side of their emotions and personality.....just a theory ^____^. Go Hopey! Kick lotsa butt!

Nyahaha, after finishing reading the last of Azumanga, the pic on the lower left makes me think she could belong in the manga. Cute XD
Anyways, it's not necessary to say how much ass this kicks (at the very least one... that guy in the pic seems to be beaten up prety badly... WAY TO GO HOPE!!!).
The KoF influence is great, the coloring here is one of your best ones yet. I especially like both the drawing style and coloring of the middle hope. Dynamic and mad awesome.

Thanks, Sol!
Tomo and Hope, seperated at birth? I tend to think so, except there's that whole thing about Tomo being made of inks and cel paper, tho.
The... last... of Azu? It comes to an end? That's sad, because it's such a wonderful manga, cute, funny and innocent like. Tho I must say, I prefer the anime more over the manga. (needing to be getting more, I do)

It WAS sad ;__; what CAN I DO without Azu?? but it was oh so funny...
I need to finish watching the anime, but so far I enjoyed the manga more overall (they're both similar, just that each has a few more jokes here and there). I tend to laugh so much while reading them XD;;
The last volume I read during break at work, and when I went back to talk to costumers, I kept on laughing XD;; it was bad. But I keep laughing when I think about it... *is special*

Aww, well, you'll have the anime to look forward to seeing, and I'll have the manga to look forward to read, thusly, the fun shall linger on! Japan, oh how brilliant your artists are.
Hahaha! That's awesome that you kept laughing, even when talking to customers. It is definitely a good thing to have random giggles after reading such good stuff.

And, I admire how you can merge them. It looks so effortless. o_o You make EVERYTHING look effortless. I like the Hope on the bottom. She's kickin' the most arse right there. x)

It's truly an inspiring game tho! Which is one more reason why I still play it a lot. Good inspiration, good times tossing Bob-bombs at Mario's prone face.

wheeeeee color! great pic! i'm impressed by your sister, i dropped jujitsu after an orange belt (2 degrees), then went back long enough to get my 3rd degree and completely stopped... and i haven't been to my kung fu classes in ages..... T_T haha. though i LOVE my kung fu classes! :strikes painful but cool looking pose:
anyways, i really like how you colored this! nice shading, i really like the way you colored the back one. i've never seen anyone wearing turqouise colored suits, but eh. i think the main pic (center), her leg looks a bit off... maybe you should have had it more straight, like the bottom character. i think it's the angle of her heel, if you could see more of the bottom of her foot i think it'd look alright.
:gets ass kicked by elazuscore's sister:
aaah!
great job!

Awww, Ceres nyuu, why did you stop going to your martial arts classes? Were you too busy with juggling other things? I've wanted to take martial arts classes before, I'm rather lazy tho and parting with my room is a difficult thing for me to do so I haven't but the fighting arts have always interested me. Jujitsu must be wicked cool to learn, but you also studied kung fu? Swizeet!
Hehe, I didn't know what to color that random person who's kicked in the face, I was a bit concerned about the color choices I'd made for them, but I didn't know what to do, so I just picked out anything.
I've heard that her leg, in the centermost shot, is confusing looking, from one of my friends too. I was going to add a blurring effect to the leg, to show that it was an arc kick of sorts, but I thought that if I did that, it would look kind of funny against everything else in the piccy.
*Saves Ceres by jumping in front of Hope's attacks*

since i moved to northridge i can't get to my kung fu classes anymore... takes like half an hour (or 2 hours if traffic) to drive there! and it's in the evening, so i would never get a chance to study. before that, i was really busy as well. :sigh sigh: jujitsu is a lot of rolling around in sweaty gis and trying to get your face out of someone's stanky armpit. >_< it WAS really really fun, but... stanky. hahaha. kung fu is the best, unless you take sparring and then it's basically the same thing.... rolling around with stanky people. (i never did it, whew)
hahha, at least the outfit wasn't hot pink. yeah, the leg looks fine without blurring effect (and we'd all jump up and point and shout 'cheater! cheater!"
), but it looks fine.
:gives elazulscore snickers bar for saving from whoop ass:

HAHAHAA! Having fights with the stankazoids doesn't sound all that fun, 'specially if it consists of rolling about on the floor with them.
I was assuming that maybe because of school or your job, you could do any of them anymore, but wasn't sure. School and work are just such evils to our funtime, not fair.
I felt real cheap with just blurring the blending colors in that pic, a whole blurry leg woulda been just NO, I thought, so yey.
Candee!

On a random side note, sis, I brought this Street Fighter Anniversary disc last week, right? Well, to my surprise, there's a chara in there that looks almost exactly like you in your Tae Kwon Do outfit, minus the foot and wrist guards, hehehe!
[link] <- Bad example, but it's hard to find good pics of her. The in-fight graphics REALLY remind me of ya.
So I was like, 'woo, Hope's in a fighting game, I must play as her and rise to da top!'.
