This was a 5 minute speed paint for showing my son how to create clouds and water.You can DOWNLOAD the GIMP file and see all the layers here:

I used the GIMP standard brush called "smoke" for creating the clouds, and a brush from a brush pack called "Odysee" for creating the water structure.
