I LOVE TRUEBLOOD TOO!! but i hate her! they series is based on an amazing series called the Sookie Stackhouse series! HOLY CRAP IT IS AWESOME!! read it!! the show is good but not like the book at all!

I actually have read the first three books.
This is just me, but I didn't enjoy the books nearly as much as the series. I think they lacked some of the comedy and tragedy of the show, and they were missing some of my favourite characters. But I read the books after having seen the series, and I know many people really love the books, it's just personal taste.
Just to be clear also; I'm not saying the books are bad (I've read soooooo much worse) or that I didn't enjoy them, just that I like the TV series more...
As for Sookie, she's not my favourite character, but I wouldn't say I dislike her. It's necessary for her to be imperfect at some times for the show to be more genuine. But that's just how I see it.

wow i read all that! and i think the t.v show and the books are so funny! i always laugh out loud when i am watching/ reading them
