That's really a nice drawing. Spotted owls are really pretty and you drew their feather design really well. That made it even nicer-looking. I love the sunset background too.
I was about to ask which one was Lutta, but then I decided to just look, and then I figured it out. That was a good touch to the picture.
I think Lutta is one of my favorite characters. I was pretty sad about the way things turned out for her.

I was NOT happy with the Book:
Alternative one: -> a better way to die
Lutta dies in Order to protect her beloved Hoole.
Alternative two: -> what a lot of People hoped . . .
Lutta confesses her secret love to Hoole BEFORE she transforms.
(They become a couple and are having a lot and a lot of cute hatchlings)
I think it is a fact that Kathryn Lasky is not able to let a interesting caracter die
on a appropiate way.

Hoole would've been better off with Lutta I think anyway. Hoole x Lutta and Strix Ermilla x Theo. Would've been better.

I loved Lutta! She was so nice at the end, she was about to tell Hoole she loved him, and then BAM! Strix Strumajen came and killed her out of nowhere without even hearing her out first! That made me so mad, and then I got more upset when Hoole became mates with Emerilla because I was so hoping for Hoole and Lutta, and...agghhhhh!

What makes it even more tragic is that no one ever acknowledges her as a good creature. Strumajen simply says "To Hagsmire." and Hoole goes to become mates with Emerilla...

Although I suppose there's priorities. If Emerilla hadn't been with Hoole, there'd be no Otulissa. And I care more about Otulissa than Lutta, so...but still, I...she just learned how to loooove

Aww poor Lutta, she really loved him. It would of worked better if the real Emerilla died then Lutta would of fit, but no Otulissa if that happened either

true and there's two ways as well. If that happened we wouldn't have Outlissa and therefore the story would have a hole because she had much knowledge. But yet we need to pity Lutta too, I suppose anyone can go either way

that could of been hard, look at her foster parents Pleek and Ygryk couldn't produce children and Lutta was probably a full hagsfiend and even if she did have owl blood left (it depends on the concept) then she would of been more of a Great Horned.
Perhaps they both could of been reborn into the same species

poor thing, I think it was more of a curse. Consider a freak by the owl who would of been her parents, changed with no say, she couldn't take a mate because he would probably be scared, her powers were a curse
