The clothes on the line, shirts in different sizes, a lovely sense of communion...
the kid's curiosity, the man's curiosity and duty to fix the car, the bicycle there...
Between the two figures I see the desire and the duty to do something of "personal" but in the same time the desire to stay so close in those daily activities so different.
The bycle and the car make me think also of: "the difference between men and boys is the price of their toys".
a very nice daily street scene, clap clap.
I've heard from a "common acquaintance" that you came back here on DA, it's a pleasure.

What I see in this image, if I see anythin' at all, I see...a lazy artist!
Naw, jus' kiddin'. Actually, I think it look's more like, it's in someone's
backyard...and their backyard again is a part of a house which is a part
of the "backyard" of a town, facin' a forest. And they're waitin' to get
their vehicle fixed so they can go on a picnic-trip? I don't know.
Or perhap's it's a farm. Very nostalgic, as if dreamin' of previous times.
While the clothes dry, they patient themselves against the stubborness
of machinery's fault. Not to be pseudo-philosophical, perhaps a doubt of
"modern way's" of travel. And the lil' kid doesn't seem to care much either
way, as his tricycle works just fine anyway. Am I right?

I see two people with their vehicles broken down in an enchanted forest of unimginable beauty. But for some reason they are too concered about fixing thier rides to even notice how lucky they are to have ended up right there.

i see an everyday chore (the man working on the car) and the kid trying to occupy time by looking at the ground, either at a hole the kid made, of found... now, the clothes are real.. but the background is not.. ~ezrawolf has a point.. the background is false... but it doesn't stop at the trees... the whole background is probably a painted curtain, or some weaver took a very long time to try and trick the viewers... if the viewers saw this picture in color, the difference would become clear, but since we can not, it is easy to overlook the important detail... the curtain bottom is flapping in the wind...

I can't quite place my finger on it, but something about this photo just blows me away. It has a very nostalgic feeling, and even though it's probably summer, it reminds me of autumn. Very interesting how the car looks old but the clothing is modern (hanging from the clotheslines).

I see a struggle of life with the victims trying to make due with their situation. I see a troubled family trying to make due and cope with the lemons life has handed them..I see clothing hung on trees for laudrymats are too expensive. i see nature at its roughest.

i see a daughter about to lose her father because he did not secure the wheels of the vehicle he is working on. i see a daughter caught up in something important while daddy is caught up in something that can wait. i see a daughter drawing in her world like a sponge while daddy is doing his best to keep the family moving. i see an eastend street from a million miles and years away. i see myself. i see a sliver of your world. i see that you care.

Awwwwww that's so cute! If I was the guy, I'd see a rabbit poking it's head at me. The reason he's stuck is cuz the rabbit is licking him! If I were the little kid I'd see daddy sticking his head into a lion!
