Hi, I wanted to know if you mind if I use this as cover art for a short fanfic I just finished writing, plan to upload it as soon as I can get an image for it. I know someone else already asked, but I didn't want to assume I could just do the same without asking. It'd be really cool since I've loved this piece since I first saw it years ago!

But I actually came being the bearer of bad news stole this artpiece and posted it as his own, not removing your signature. His entire gallery is most likely stolen and I just thought you should know about this since no one has confronted him about it until I found it. Sorry again about having to bring this news.

How are people like me at fault for this? You shouldn't be taking peoples work and posting it as your own as it is entirely wrong. Unless you have permission from the artist and give due credit for their work then their art doesn't belong on your page. You not only ruin your image on DA and cause people to see you as a lier and thief, but you hurt the artist because it's their work that they spent hours on, sometimes days and you simply take it.
I am grateful that you have decided to give credit to the original artists after I commented, please continue to do this if you do post other's work and maybe links to the original artwork would be a lot better.
I do this because DA is for people to share their art and not have it be stolen and claimed by others. I have had my art stolen before and even if the person had good intentions, it would've been a lot better to have my art Favorited by them instead of simply posted on their page.
