Sketch for something I may end up coloring. The characters shown are Layla(with the short hair. Yeah, she got a haircut), Kataleena(to the right. She's Layla's mother), and Ferral(the guy in the back with the Guns 'N' Roses t-shirt on. He's Layla's father). They're all characters in my comic-in-progress, Urban jungle. I agree she need the change, but I think the hair is too short. She has a boy haircut, not a girl's. i had friend who had that very haircut, she was often mistake for a boy from behind till she turn around. I'm not saidng, don't cut her hair, I'm said not that short, But that's me.

I've actually seen quite a few girls with this same hair cut, and it looks different than the hair style I gave Blitz so I get a bonus for original hair style that I've never drawn before.

its really carrying weight and form and character.
it was probably instinct rather than intention, but the tails, they kinda stitch the whole thing together, hold the characters in place.

how long did that take?
coz you captured a lot of subtle parts, like the tiny wrinkles in thei clothes, and the flicks in their hair and fur, it's all really organic.
what colour were you gonna do ferrals hair?

It took around an hour to ink, only because I was inking while I was drawing. I'm still trying to find a hair color that works for him. And a fur color that works as well.

The really tiny one? Hmm...it's a possibility. As for the boyfriend, I still haven't gotten around to drawing him. I do have a good idea for how I want him to look though. Should I give him glasses or is that too cliche?

Depends on the glasses... also depends on what hes gonna look like, the image i have in my mind are the trendy nerds they got here, the skinny ones that are currently surrounding me in the pc labs.

ok uh description then, not extremely tall im estimating this guy here is between 5'6" and 5'9"
thin... not weedy though, like they got good posture (surprisingly) and i guess sort of... lanky, but... its an elastic look, if i were to depict them there'd be a tention in the general form.
smallish squarish glasses, dark frame.
short, dark hair, gelled forward, side burns, shorter at sides. clean shaven.
dark coloured t shirt, not baggy, baggy jeans hanging off the hips.
denim jacket.
black watch,
trendy street sneakers.
big back pack with lots of buckles and shit.

Yeah. Toad and Avalanche both had mullets, but not to the point that they were bad. The hair in the front was a bit too long on both of them for it to really be counted as a mullet.
