we aint really dipping our fingers into the luxury pies of anatomy here but this is the very basic rundown of rules i follow when drawing feet without any of the explosive explanations or over crowding of illustrationsthe only other short cuts i can tell ya is take your time and always look at references

Well it never occurred to me to draw the soles first so that is indeed quite a large little bit helpful.
And creating an order to draw the shoe that definitely helps too.
