I'm sorry if I'm sounding like a pain, but next time could you ask for permission first? Such a direct copy of the drawing made me think this was a straight up trace when I first saw it.
Also, I recommend doing the same pose from a different angle so the artist could show their skills a bit more instead of just directly copying. Maybe something that shows off Chun Li's luscious thighs. I say that from more of an artist stand point, I've had clients ask me to directly copy a pose and that's not in my nature.

Yup, I can do that. I generally don't try to restrict artists, I just say I want this character in this kind of pose. Sometimes it's a loose reference, and sometimes it's a lot closer like this one. I guess everyone works differently. Thanks though for the feedback, I'll contact you in the future. I hope to commission you someday too.

Man, that's very high praise you just got. I'd be over the moon if someone used my work as a reference. Obviously the artist didn't trace your work, or really capture the subtle details that made yours pop, but the thing to keep in mind is that amateurs use pros work as reference all the time. You can't control the use of bodytypes or poses, but to know that people are looking up to your art that way is a biiiig deal.
