Description
So I am just about the worst person at putting tutorials together, but I've had enough people ask me about liner, that I thought I would throw this together. I'm too spazzy to actually take pictures while I'm doing it lol so these are edited from a finished product. Photoshop started acting funny on me, so I had to use a mixture of Microsoft Photo Editor and Paint, which explains the quality lol. Anyway, I hope this is helpful to people.ummmm so someone want to help me? I uploaded the tutorial and a preview image, but all I can get to show up is the preveiw image...... I know you get the tutorial if you download it, but I thought there was a way to make the tutorial show up when you click to enlarge the image

Well anyway I've got problems with finding the right kind of brush for my eyeshadows (and my eyeshadows never get that sparkly, hmpfh).

well the kind of brush you use varies a lot depending not only on the eyeshadow you are using but what kind of an effect you are trying to get.
as for keeping sparkly ones sparkly, sometimes it can help to pat them on rather than sweep them on. Sparkly eyeshadows tend to be that way because of glitter, and sweeping motions have a tendency to sweep the glitter off.

By "that" do you mean the double point liquid liner? Did you use my tutorial? Did it help?

No, I haven't tried yet. I'm going to try today. I'm going to the stadium watch the match Algeria - Egypt for the Cup of African Nations.
I'll tell you later. But everytime I tried nefore the line would come up thicker than I wanted or just very bad because my hand coordination is not the best

I do my eyes with a line like that everyday. And the only tip i could tell you to mention in the TUT is always start in the middle and work your way out. SMALL strokes cause no one gets it on the first try ^^

EleeceFace In reply to Ma-Belle-Michou [2009-06-30 00:31:10 +0000 UTC]
see, if I work in little strokes I just keep making little mistakes and trying to fix them and then before I know it my entire lid is covered in liner XD. To each their own I guess.

yeah I still have a problem with that from time to time. I've found it helps me to work on both eyes at the same time. So like do the first step on both eyes and then move on to the second step.

Great job! I'm just now getting the hang of applying liquid liner, but still haven't gotten the "cat eye" look down. Hopefully this helps.
PS: Your shadow looks beautiful.

i really dont reccommend putting eyeliner on the inner lid (like you did on the bottom), to avoid eye irritation and possibly infection, i think it's best to put eyeliner under your bottom eyelashes especially if using a liquid eyeliner. after all, eyeliner is designed to go around your eyes, not in them!

EleeceFace In reply to SwiftShit [2007-09-30 22:17:38 +0000 UTC]
The liner isn't in my eye. It's on my waterline, and it's a technique many makeup artists use. You don't use the liquid liner on the waterline. it would never stay. The part I describe how to do with liquid liner is only on the upper lid. The parts I describe doing on the waterline I specifically mention to line with a pencil liner. Yes, there is an increased chance of getting an infection, but you risk infection no matter where you put makeup on your eye. You just have to be careful and make SURE to keep your products and brushes clean. I've been doing makeup for over 10 years, and I've never had a problem.

many makeup artists use the technique, you've been doing makeup for over 10 years, it doesnt make a bit of difference. while thats good that you havent had a problem, you're only one person. someone who reads this may have problems with it. so just my opinion, you might want to warn people about putting makeup on your waterline. after all, this is a pretty way of doing makeup and a lot of people would probably try to mimic the way you did your waterline without knowing how to do it properly since it wasnt mentioned in the tutorial

EleeceFace In reply to SwiftShit [2007-10-01 00:25:22 +0000 UTC]
what I was trying to say was it shouldn't need to be mentioned. That should be a part of common sense. And like I said you run the risk of infection putting makeup ANYWHERE on your eye. You can get some pretty nasty bugs from false eyelashes, but that's not going to be mentioned in every falsies tutorial, because, duh, it's just a risk you take. Parasites can grow in your foundation and give you a really bad rash or other skin irritations. Do they label that all over foundation compacts? No. You just gotta use common sense and say "Hey, this is going near my eye, maybe I should keep it clean"

I wasn't trying to sound angry or anything like that. Just trying to be informative. Sorry if I came across as otherwise. One of the many reasons I dislike internet communication: You never come off the way you want to.

Yeah I figured if people downloaded it they would get it, but I was sure there was a way to see the tutorial when you click to enlare the image. Sometimes people can't download stuff, and I'd still like for them to be able to see it.
