Fantastic image, reminds me of a rams head. I love the blue and yellow color scheme. Cool with a touch of warmth. Nice work

So nice art,
it looks like 3D, and the colour very strong than before

Very nice... I named a pic of mine the same as you, featuring the same kind of pattern (I didn't uploaded to dA yet)

I'm not surprised about the title, I've seen the same ones crop up several times. I think it is because it's awkward naming abstract pictures.
Similar patterns turn up in pictures based on different formulae, I suspect there is a reason for this but my mathematics isn't up to it.

Yes, it appears even in 3D fractals (specially hybrids with negative scale Mandelboxes). Samuel Monnier (the one of the 'Ducks' formula), stated that formulas (or algorithms) that involves "mirroring" or "folding" along with a comformal transformation, seems to produce this. He didn't described how exactly are produced, though. My maths skill aren't too good also for trying

what a difference!!! and both are so visually interesting... I like perspective of folds this one demonstrates... is it difficult to control things like contrast with your apps?
brilliant, indeed!!!

It is remarkable how different an image can be just by changing the colouring method at least with these the basic shape has been retained which isn't always the case.
It not difficult to control things like contrast, although it can be time consuming finding a combination of colour map (gradient) and colouring method that produce a good result. There is some fine tuning I can do like change where to start in the gradient and how often the gradient repeats, most of the time I don't need to do any fine tuning.
