Description Shaped like an eye. Mostly metallic.

Inverse square Mandelbrot.

Created using mars and expanded using phobos both of which are C++ programs I've implemented using Gtkmm on Linux.

Thanks, that one was produced some time ago using a my old programs Mars (a fractal explorer) and Phobos (a fractal expander). Those programs have been superseded by Saturn (a fractal explorer) and Titan (a fractal expander) which I'm planning to release soon.

I've done a new version of this fractal called New Model Eye [link] using Saturn and Titan.

It's not that the fractal itself is bad, but somehow I just dislike these colors...

Maybe you could do some color-corrections and I'd probalby really like it

I've re-worked this piece, the new version uses different colouring methods and colour maps.

What do you think of this version? [link]

Yes, thanks for nudge. I revisit work from time to time, the original was done about a year ago with my old program Mars which has recently been replaced with the new program Saturn which I'm still in the process of testing and bug fixing.

Thanks, I only implement the formulae, tweak formula parameters and colouring methods and then save what I think looks good.

Yes, but the colors are pleasing :3
It's very good but I wonder if it's hard to do that?

It's not hard, although I don't know about programs other my own. As I've developed my own programs I can include facilities to change whatever I want so I may well able to tweak the colouring methods in ways that are otherwise unavailable.
