The common Mandelbrot shape turning up in a fractal using a cubic formula. Produced using Saturn & Titan version 2.0 which can be downloaded from Element90 Fractals download page .Titan Version 2.0

I've just checked, you are correct the set is not connected. I've lots of these Mandelbrot island appearing in disconnected sets with a large variety of formulae.
