Details!
This mini top hat (riding style) was made from scratch. It measures (roughly) 21” around the brim and 11’ inside the crown diameter, with a height of 4”. It utilizes a heavy, buckram-like interfacing for the frame, and is wired both along the crown and brim, for strength and ease of curving/shaping.
The accents are a dupioni silk hatband, a peacock feather and coloured wire decoration, and a reclaimed antique earring from an estate sale.
Hats are held on with a comb, but elastic/ribbons can be added as well.
