Description
AwakeningPulpit Rock, Cape Schank
Mornington Peninsula
Victoria, Australia
A lovely sunrise, was quite rough out there though. I had to keep wiping spray off the filter, which blurred a large number of photos in the end.
Sky and water processed separately from the one RAW file and blended together in PS. A 3 stop graduated neutral-density filter was also used.

One great thing about this photo is the foreground, it is detailed and interesting. I like that there is similar rocks and water movements further in image than in FG. The clouds are absolutely stunnning. Even though this image is viewed almost 2500 times I still thinks it's underrated.
Great work Donald!

This is really beautiful, the compositon is amazing, and the way the water looks so misty/smoky is fantastic.
Great shot.

The water going over the rock to the right in the mid ground looks like sand going through someone's fingers! Overall cool shot! Nice!
