An old Cherokee was teaching his grandson about life.

"There are two wolves inside of you," he told the young boy. "One wolf is there to protect and guide you. He is peace, love, hope, serenity, kindness, generosity, truth, compassion, humility, empathy, faith and joy."

The young boy listened while his grandfather went on quietly, "The second wolf is out to destroy you. He is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self pity, guilt, resentment, lies and fear. These two wolves are at war within you - within all of us."

The boy thought about it for a moment and then asked, "Which wolf will win?"

And the grandfather answered simply, "The one you feed."
