Something I have been working on couple hours a night after work. (So much effing work)
Inspired by a old piece of artwork I did of Cerridwen a while back.
Proof I am still alive! Just had a bad bought of no work, drawing, and pretty much anything revolving around using the drawing hand... Carpel tunnel is awful.
I'm okay for now, but I got to make sure I don't over due it.
...Harder said then done.
Well... if it does flare up again, worst case scenario is surgery.
Until then, I will art.

There is a LOT of that in the comic book. When the characters are based off elements, its hard NOT to make some jokes.

Its an actual scene in the story. The origin of her character.
Most of my inspiration for everything comes from my love for ancient history, mythology into my fantastical interpretations.

Such an awesome picture, it really brings out Cerridwen's badassery. I'm guessing she's standing on a pile of dead, flaming demons. Also, as always, I love her hair.

It from an actual scene in the comic, ( from what is written and outlined in the comic book- as the story is so huge, its take far more time to compose) It's Cerridwen's origin story that is discovered later on. And no, actually those are not demons, that was her fellow villagers that were massacred and she was part of that pile, until the fire that supposed burn away the flesh, became something far more interesting 
And those responsible for 'sacking' her village...well, I'll leave it to the imagination. It is resolved by fire
