No matter how many hair tutorials I see neither how hard I try, my hands always end up stuck in my hair. Specially when is about braids or plaits. :c
Now excuse me, I'll go cry in a corner...

Hi 
First, I used Paint Tool SAI to draw this little comic, but most of the principles shown here can be used in Photoshop as well, I'm not really sure which software you use, I'd like to know. c:
I did a rough sketch about the general idea of the comic, I'm used to draw it digitally. I make the whole sketch in one layer.
Then, I created a new layer above the rough sketch, which I named it "Lineart" (or anyway you want) in which I'll draw the lineart using the pencil tool with the Pen Pressure thing activated, so the line look a little bit smoother. *Note: You can change the rough sketch layer opacity at %50, so it would be easier when drawing the lineart.
Once I've finished the lineart, I start with the base colors. I create a new layer down the Lineart layer, and I start coloring the drawing. I do not add any shading or lightning here, this layer is only for base colors.
Then I do the shading layer. I create a new layer above the base colors, and the thing I do here is to select the area I want to shade in the base color layer, then go to the shading layer and start. I do this with every area I want to add shading. This and the base color part are the ones that take more time than the others, so be patient.
And then I do the backgrounds. As you can see, they are reaaaaally simple. xD So I just draw rectangles down all the layers I've worked on and added some shading to it. c:
Then I create a layer that contains the text ballons, and above it I write the text. c:
