Haaa, don't worry, I'm sure after Mickey gets down that ladder he's going to pull a hand grenade out of his pocket and lob it up onto that platform. World saved!
This is just a lulzy, satirical take on the ol' "if character A is always saving character B from certain peril, wouldn't it eventually become a mundane activity?" gag. If it did, Mickey and Minnie would totally ham it up anyway, in between discussing their day and what they're gonna grab for lunch. Only when I threw the Phantom Blot in there and made him into a wuss, things spiraled out of control quickly. I think the punchline is that everyone is an idiotic parody of themselves. Nothin' new for me. xD
And since this is just an idiotic parody, there's no need for fancy things like layouts, backgrounds, good drawings, timing, or shading. No need I say!
Mickey, his gal Minnie, and the Phantom LOL belong to Ze Walt Disney Company or sumpthin'.

in my own parody, it kind of takes the idea from the game of Mickey creating the Blot so I thought, 'Doesn't that make him his father?' And the idea won't go away. It's funny because, in my crazed, whacked up mind, I can picture the Blot going all "Daddy!" and hugging Mickey to death. XD and Oswald is the uncle. teehee!

LOL, I don't really subscribe to the idea that Mickey and Oswald are brothers or that Walt is their father, and yet that's a terribly clever and amusing idea. I approve of this further wussification of the poor Blot! If you haven't drawn it yet, you totally should. The rest of the world needs to see it. xD

Also, I want to take the time to say that I just love your Mickey and Minnie pics. The design, the color, the way they are portrayed... I love them all and they are all so wonderful and truly fantastic. Heck, I feel even that is not enough of a compliment.

XDDDDDDDD This is hilarious. I love how rubbery 'n' expressive everyone is, and there are lots of great little touches, like Mickey's thought balloon check list. The dialogue's also sharp as a tack. Great stuff. ^_^

I... I just laughed the entire time. It's so spot on with these repetitive kinds of scenarios, and then being all nonchalant, the adorable expressions, the Blot wussified, Mickey's priorities, and... and that last panel has to be my favorite. "S'pretty hot" with that huge grin made me laugh so hard I cried.
I hope this encourages you to draw more comics in the future, because you have a real knack for it!

Awesome work! You never cease to amaze me with your professional designs of Mickey and Minnie, and now the Phantom Blot. The Mickey-Saves-Minnie story style suited the Blot nicely, and I thought the tid-bits like the different color schemes and seeing Mickey's facial expressions in thought bubbles added more on the cuteness factor! ^^
However, unless the Blot was trying to trick Mickey, I think the Phantom Blot was out-of-character in being upset about not coming with Mickey and Minnie for an ice-cream soda. The Blot is supposed to be a very menacing villain, and that sort of behavior, unless it was a trick, is more degrading than the scheming, dark villain he's supposed to be. And I don't think Mickey would say something like "S'pretty hot." Mickey's more child-like than a sugar daddy, and by his innocent nature, I think he'd be more likely to say "Aww, gosh..." or even just a simple chuckle would seem more suitable for his character than the sort of "This is hot stuff, toots!" that I'd more likely hear from characters like Donald.
Overall, an entertaining piece of fan art!

Oh, man, you got me all wrong! I know all that junk's out of character. Like I said in the description, everyone's an idiotic parody of themselves on purpose. The Phantom Blot usually has jack to do with Minnie in the comics, while here poor Minnie's a useless prop in all this, and of course none of them sound like themselves. Not to mention the fact that Mickey wouldn't just walk away without a scrap - he lives for that kind of stuff! I originally wrote 's'pretty neat' or something along those lines, because that's more Mickey-ish, but I thought 's'pretty hot' sounded funnier and really sold the fact that they aren't themselves.
This is just kind of my own wacky sense of humor talking. Don't worry, if this was serious, I would have handled everything differently. It's all in good fun.

Ohhhhh! I apologize. I have a very literal way of thinking, so I can't always tell whether or not it is a parody unless something in the description is written, word-for-word "this is a parody," or something like that. I've actually noticed your sort of parody-of-themselves style before in your MickeyxMinnie art, but for some reason, I didn't get that same sense with this comic.
Anyway, keep up the great work, and I look forward to seeing more!
