I've been meaning to make a tutorial for this for awhile since I've been asked in the past...someone on another website was asking for a couple tips and I ended up doing this super fast and super messy. There's lots of mistakes here and there, and it's nowhere near as detailed as it should be, but hey, it's a start. And looook, I'm drawing.So someday I'll do a better version of this. For now, have some notes and scribbles.

As someone who only just drew Micky for the first time a month ago, this is an extremely valuable resource t'me. Β It's also just great to get a little look at your own personal process, showing just how you're so able to capture the look 'n' feel of Mickey while infusing him with your own special stylistic spark. <3

Any plans on doing one for Minnie? I mean, I know they're almost the same but... being a girl, I'm sure there are subtle differences in giving her curves and such. And it's those subtle details that are probably most important and hard to spot @___@

I actually really want to make one for Minnie! Because absolutely, even though she's pretty much Mickey in a lot of respects, I like to think that there are some huge differences between the way they move, react to things, and I even like to change some of their proportions a little. So yes, I know exactly what sort of tutorial I'd put together for Minnie (and I want to make a more detailed one for Mickey), but it'll have to be when I'm really feeling it. I'm so glad you're interested though!
That darn neck/shoulder area isΒ tricky as heck. I know some artists can pull off giving Minnie chokers and things like that and I just can't, haha.
...aaaaaand I just took a peek at your gallery and omigosh, your drawings are so darn CUTE. If anything I should be taking advice from you! You got this in the bag, baby, keep up the fantastic work!

Aw great stuff!
I try and give Minnie and Mickey a neck when I draw them, but it really changes their entire look which is surprising XD it's easier to do on Minnie than Mickey for some reason. @__@ I'll just have to keep trying and practicing I suppose.
X//D thanks. My art sometimes feels very superficial to me though, so I'm trying to break away from lazy habits. And of course I struggle with characters I'm not use to XP but thank you very much

In the meanwhile, might I say that that wedding picture you drew for Mickey and Minnie makes my heart sing!? Their precious pleased faces omgomgomggmomgogm. Also I am a huge fan of Mickey lifting Minnie up, it is my true weakness. :3
