Description OKAY SO TODAY I DID A THING I HAVE DREAMED ABOUT DOING FOR YEARS.

I DID MY VERY FIRST TRAIL RIDE WITH MY OWN HORSE. (I've trail rode before, and I'm pretty comfortable with trail riding, but NEVER with my own horse).

Pretty much when I went to the farm today with the intentions to film another Level 2 audition, another boarder who I've been talking too and had discussed trail riding with came up to us when we were grooming and said "You guys feel like doing a trail ride today?"

I was so nervous and unsure but Nevada was rather chill and relaxed when I did groundwork, so my mom told me to go for it. And I had SO much fun! Nevada was behaving SOOOOO well. She wasn't trying to rush ahead, was responding beautifully if I asked her to slow down or stop, went up some really steep hills with a good attitude even though she's never done that before, and had such a nice expression the entire time we were riding! She was even wearing just her hackamore instead of a bridle and was responding the best I've ever seen her do with her hackamore. (in the arena she'd brace sometimes and want to go faster, but she never did that on the trail.)

The most trouble we had was with grass (Which is normal) and some cows which Nevada wanted to look at and meet instead of continuing on the trail.

But I'm just so happy! When I first got Nevada I said "I want to be able to trail ride with my own horse" and I've dreamed of doing something like that for YEARS. And I've finally done it! ;3; EEEK.

My mom says that all the hard work I'm putting in with Nevada is paying off now when she's actually put to the test. ;u; I think she's right. My baby is making such huge steps.

Me and Nevada look tiny compared to the other rider and horse mainly because the other horse is a Belgian Draft X Quarter Horse Mix LOL. She's pretty massive IRL.

THE FEELS! I remember when you first got Nevada you were unsure but how you described it now I feel like you REALLY have improved with both your bond with Nevada and your horsing skills!

Man, when I went for a trail ride with my friend... my horse almost bolted... he hadn't been on the trail, and it was kinda like a square.... no trees or anything and it was clipped grass. And he's a race horse. So my friend with her horse bolted and my horse decided. Oh! Let's go for a race! And took off. But I enjoyed it and slowed him down. But now I can go on that trail with no problem. And good job

Good for you! It's always exciting being able to do something you've been dreaming about! And from what I can see from the picture you both look very relaxed. Trail riding is great fun, especially with your own horse Congrats on being able to do it!

Yeees! It was so nerve wracking at first, but after a while I was able to just relax and have fun. Same with Nevada. She kept blowing out every so often and was just so interested in looking around! ;u;

And thank you!

Yeah c: I still get nervous going out with my boy because of a bad buck he did once but we're relatively good again. When you have a bad experience doing stuff you love is always something like 10x better then it was before. And doing it for the first time(?) and so well!! I'm haply for you ^u^

You're very welcome cx
