Gojira, or “Godzilla” as he’s been called outside of official Nautilus reports, is a large theropod-like creature that’s become the most well-documented kaiju of recent years. After Nautilus’ establishment in 1934, our efforts went into scanning the globe for other possible megafauna like the first Kong specimen. In 1947, we got our first clue at something when the USS Lawton was found washed ashore on an island in the South Pacific, having received damage far greater than any man made weapon could’ve caused. It was soon theorized that a large megafauna could have caused this, and the next few years were spent following clues of destroyed fishing trawlers and Navy ships. Finally, in 1954, it was finally spotted in the Bikini Atoll. Nautilus officials warned against any kind of attacks, but the government decided that this was a perfect opportunity to both test new weaponry and take care of Godzilla. The nuclear testing that the Atoll witnessed that year was used to try and kill the beast. With no sightings after this, it was assumed they did. However, in 1973 reports not dissimilar to the sightings in the ‘50s began to spring up. Godzilla finally made his presence known in the fall of ‘74, when it destroyed a nuclear plant on Odo, a small island ten miles east of Japan. Odo had witnessed Godzilla many years before when it was a small fishing village, where they named it “Gojira”. It would then make its way towards the mainland. The JSDF would work towards preventing this and created a blockade. As expected, Godzilla tore through the ships as though they were toys and soon arrived on the mainland. He tore right through the heart of Tokyo, killing hundreds and causing millions of dollars in destruction. The city soon turned into a sea of flames. Nautilus and the JSDF put up a valiant effort and tried their best to stop the kaiju, but when it seemed like they were wearing down Godzilla, he revealed a secret weapon. Researchers at Nautilus are still not too sure of what this is, but their best guess is a buildup of nuclear power inside of Godzilla’s body, which he lets out in a stream of scalding atomic flames. With this atomic breath, Godzilla soon took out any remaining weapons, before slowly turning back to the bay and submerging underwater. When asked about this incident, Professor Kyohei Yamane has theorized that Godzilla was part of an ancient world of super species, existing long before the Mesozoic era. He states that the world at this time would have been heavy with radioactivity, something that creatures like Godzilla likely depended upon. Godzilla must have gone dormant sometime before a mass extinction event and only becomes active from time to time over the last few millennia. Humanity bringing upon the “Atomic Age” was probably responsible for waking up the beast, attracted by the nuclear substances that now exist once more and defending his territory (thought to be the chunk of the Pacific between Hawaii and Japan) from “invaders” - humans. Yamane finished with the hypothesis that Godzilla would most likely return in the future, and that he may not be the only creature that’s awoken…
Abilities: Powerful muscles in the tail and neck creates perfect offensive capabilities, longer arms like a biped allow for grabbing and clawing, capable of swimming speeds up to 80 knots, and a powerful blast of “atomic fire” can emit from mouth like a flamethrower

The smallest Godzilla than the other incarnations I've seen.
