This very well done. You did quite well on the lighting Β on Darth. Something to consider the lightsaber is casting light onto Darth you may want to consider casting bit on the surrounding wall as well just to keep the lighting constant. Other than that great job and awesome pose. Gonna add it to my favoritesΒ

You're absolutely right about the light. In all honesty, I drew a very simple background to fill the white. I didn't pay too much attention to it. Had I drawn an actual detailed background, I would've cared more about consistency. I've been trying to work more on backgrounds lately. It's a subject I've always had trouble with.

This is really well-done! Vader almost has a skeletal look to him here which just increases the evil, creepy factor. Not sure if you intended for that or not, but it makes him much more menacing.Β

I have to agree with your choice of Eduardo Risso! Β His black and white art on "Batman Noir" is amazing. Β
If you haven't already, you should check out Jim Lee's work on "Allstar Batman and Robin the Boy Wonder" He is an absolute genius.
I really like this piece, your sparce use of red and blue highlights really makes the darker grey's pop. Β TheΒ light and shadow on the lower
right corner of the wallΒ creates great balance against the empty Darker area in the upper left corner. Β Your use of pos/neg space really draws my eye in on the subject Β
and the nice detail work you've done. Β You really have an eye for color and layout. Β Love It!

I can't believe I have no memory of reading Batman Noir, which would mean I haven't. Which again wouldn't be a bad thing since it'd mean I have a great book ahead of me. I did remember Batman Broken City though, by the same team, that I really liked. I must definitely check this book, I really dig this intensive use of black and white flats!
Jim Lee's work on All Star Batman & Robin was absolutely great! I only wish Miller and he did more. But still, this bunch of issues is a must-read. He really is a master and a great reference to look up to.
